On The Cliffs

I can honestly say that fishing off the North Yorkshire coastal cliff was like nothing I've ever done before. The field edges slope steeply to the edge of the cliff which then drops vertically 200 feet to the rocks below. to say I was nervous of the cliff edge was an understatement and I lost my first cod due to not getting close enough to the edge to be able to winch the fish up the cliff face with minimal impact on the rocks. Its a long way to lift a couple of pound of cod.
In the end I managed to land 2 cod of a couple of pound each and I'll definitely be back.
